Dinosaur Jr was awesome.
I managed to get toilet paper stuck in my ears and went to hospital later to get it pulled out. Luckely Nick came with some tweezers and did it instead.
Many other joyous adventures. I seem to remember demending piggybacks left right ans centre.

Anyway, the setlist was rad as. Little fury things, sludgefeast, feel the pain and so forth.
Then I slept till 3. wooooooooooooo interesting post

urgh, I was going to do a big post, but whatever. I don't expect to write in my LJ again

to keep it short
-Work is still happening
-Was embarrassed while reading ZOO weekly in a newsagent since the snobby landspeed noticed me doing it.

Spicks and specks is much more interesting to me then posting on Livejournal. I think I'll just keep reading

P.S. I still go out a heap, it's just that I work during the day. I'm at the pub everyday from 5:20 after work, come in and say Hi if you wanna catch up.

I just saw Little Miss Sunshine, and It was shit.

The only good bit is the 15 seconds of Sufjan Stevens, and the Steve Carell scenes.

-The teenage kid is an annoying asshole.
-the mum is Toni colette, need I say more.
-Nothing gets resolved. At least lost in translation did it right, this just seem slike half a movie

I'm so FUCKING sick of all these try hard indie films about American-irony coming out in the wake of American Beauty.
The editing/cinematography/score was nice, but seriously, I can't understand why so many people like this film.

"Hey, you should see Little miss sunshine, Steve Carell's in it!"
"...The guy from the office? and Anchor man? I don't feel like seeing a comedy"
"no no, wait. He plays a suicidal homosexual, AND it's a drama!"
"..only if he's sarcastic and loveable"
"He totally is!"
"INDITASTIC!"

Best picture at the acadamy awards? yeah right
more like, best use of being completely un-original and getting caught for it.

Oh yeah, and Dwayne nietzsche reading teen?
I don't know what girls look for in guys, but I'm sure the combination of a 'Jesus was wrong" T-shirt with a vow of silence is the winning pair. Sorry, I forgot to add 'aspiring jet pilot". girls like that right?

some Dwane qoutes:
Dwayne: Do what you love. Fuck everything else.

Pageant Assistant Pam: [Dwayne walks swiftly by] Are you authorized to be backstage?
Dwayne: [emotionless; without stopping] No.

Dwayne: [after finding out that he is colour blind and can't fly planes] FUUUUUUCK!

Frank: So who do you hang around with?
Dwayne: [shakes his head]
Frank: No one?
Dwayne: [writes on a notepad: "I Hate Everyone."]
Frank: What about your family?
Dwayne: [deeply underlines "Everyone"]

I think I've decided to update weekly, it'll make my posts more interesting to read.
This week was 9-5 work, plus band practise 3 nights a week. busy busy busy.
The new Love Skulls stuff is really great, I can't wait to record it all one day. I'm all jittery and excited-like about music making with Warwick and the lads. I think Warwick is like me, whereas he's sick of fucking around in bands and jams, and wants to start a proper band. Proper band meaning songs and direction.

oh that's right, we have 2 gigs coming up! one on friday at Ollie's (birchwin's) party with The Cherry Marines and Johnny Telefone. I expect the party to be huge, and filled with people high on all kinds of drugs. I have to (happily) go shopping for work clothes on Saturday with my dad, so no heavy drinking for me.
Ontop of that, We have a gig on the 2nd of june with sydney band tinku. They're a Indian/rock band that kick ass. They covered come together by the beatles and kashmire by zepplin last time they played, defiently a great band to waist shake to. It's a JJJ supported gig, which is rad for us as a support.

notes of the week
-I miss my hair, alot
-My office is filled with complete freaks. Body building guy*, fat annoying admin girl, a million jocks, fat loser admin guy, cute south american girl, about 50 million extremely hot girls**, plus a lot, lot more.
-I'm at the phoenix everyday from 5:15 onwards. come join me for a pint
-I get paid tomorrow! hot damn
-many bootlegs and karaoke tales. couldn't be fucked explaining them now. I'll post about violent springs man.
-I've realised that I'm alot quieter then I used to be. As a matter of a fact, I hardly say anything anymore. I like it though.
-I can't believe it's been a year since beconsfield. where has the year gone? how do you feel about the year being almost half over? I still stall when writing the year.
-jiwubwbweb a million other things.

Shins in August and Dinosaur Jnr (Canberra!) in July. good times

Hot dang I got a job! Im dong sales for Transact and start on monday. I'll be getting $17/$18 an hour and a commision ontop of that, cha-ching! I cut all my hair off and wore a suit (and $800 suit that this guy gave to me for nothing), and I wore reading glasses to look smart, reading glasses that made me yak later.

Been talking to Brad and Warwick, looks like we're gonna start jamming again, in hopes of possibly starting a new band. Full time job and 2 bands? thats a heavy load, especially if I go back to uni later this year. I'll probably go nuts and turn into citizen cane- or a pedarist. who really knows.
We also have the sorta members tomo and lochy, don't know if it'll work out, but it should be fine. All I really care about is having a GOOD singer.

Oh man, I'm still listening to Atlas by Battles every chance I get. Now THAT'S good vocals. We need someone with guts

oh yeah. Fergus' party tonight, everyone should come.

Bootlegs tonight. Oh man, I'm so tired.

It was such a fantastic night, It was unexpectingly small. I didn't have to do the annoying "hello" to people I sorta know, just out of politness. I hate that, I really wish I lived in a world where I didn't have to acknowledge people all the time just for the sake of it.

The fuelers played (great as usual), then Plug and inflattable Ingrid. And hot damn, did Inflattable ever turn everyone upsidown, they were brilliant.
But fucking hell, the bass player should just shut the fuck up between songs and not try and show everyone that he's the supermarket of slap bass. Everyone was listening to Pauls inbetween speeches, and then at the end...whooops! you can't hear it, there's fucking bass being played over the top. way to almost ruin every gig I've ever seen of these guys. (Notable reference goes out to the drummer. Please PLEASE be quiet when Paul does his talks).
Oh my bed looks good, I'm just far too drunk. I'm so glad the crowd tonight was good, I hate wasting all my energy while politely saying hi to people. It was Lochy (plus his wife), Sarah, Leon, Scumfuck, Nick and the band guys. I cold just sit and relax for once. Finally a decent bootlegs- Like when I was 18.

Can't wait for fergus' on Saturday!
If you don't already know about it, it's going to be rad so come.

P.s. sorry bout the speeling mistakes (if there is any), I can't be fucked spellchecking it.

heya livejournalers,

Things have been good as of recent, I think I got over my slump. The loveskulls are really firing, we're writing some really great songs and getting loads of practise in, rehearsing most days of the week.
We have plans to hire out a house boat mid year and play a gig on the middle of the ocean, I think it'll be swell.
I started Avanza the other week, so now I'm all happy and motivated to do stuff, and I'm not a complete alco anymore which rules. I've been job hunting like crazy (I have an interview today at 2) so hopefully this means I'll have more then zero dollars. Ontop of this, I'll be going for my drivers license later this month so I can hoon around canberra in the car I've owned for a few years (and I've never even been in it).
things I like as of recent
-ready steady cook (I love you Manu)
-trading spouses (fuck you school holidays for taking it off temporarily)
-avacado and worshistere sause
-playing the mafia game on the BDO forums. Fucking make me mafia for once
-having bleeding fingers from playing bass alllllll the time.

plus other stuff, I can't think of anything.
Being happier means I've started noticing girls again, maybe I'll hunt one down. There's a girly girl I talked to in town for a while the other week, she seems not so insane which is a relief. Chris has a girlfriend now, and that rules 'cause he's been long over due for something rad to happen to him. Congrads.

Crap, I have to shower and scrub my teeth for my interview. cya
